Another eventful weekend as the race for the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) hots up at Donington Park. Wins for Mat Jackson and Gordon Shedden mean there have now been five winners from the first six races. It looks set to be another classic championship!
American rider John Hopkins took the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship by storm in 2011. He narrowly missed out on the prestigious crown to Tommy Hill by just 0.006 second at the dramatic season finale at Brands Hatch.
All the action from the Le Mans Series round at Silverstone. Sébastien Bourdais and Simon Pagenaud claimed victory in their Peugeot 908 from the Audi R18 TDI of Marcel Fässler and Timo Bernhard in one of the closest races of the year. Richardrandle.co.uk was there for the full six hours with some pleasing results.
Visiting motorsport events nearly every weekend during the season generally means you see the odd incident. In 2011 I was on hand to see two spectacular accidents at Snetterton (F3 Cup) and Donington Park (BTCC), with one proving to be one of the moments of the 2011 British Touring Car Championship season!
MotorSport Vision Racing (MSVR) always provide a superb line-up of racing. This event saw action from MINI Challenge, GT Cup, Radical and Lotus On Track to name but a few! And what action there was to be had…
